Welcome to The March CE Primary School. We are an inclusive and nurturing Christian community where every child is supported to achieve their God‑given potential. Our values of Love, Peace, Faith, Compassion and Forgiveness sit at the heart of our work. These values guide our relationships, shape our learning and help us create a warm, welcoming environment where every child feels known, valued and able to flourish.
We are proud of our strong links with St Peter’s Church in Westhampnett and St Andrew’s in Oving, and we cherish the way families join us from both parishes. Our close relationship with Goodwood and our position at the heart of the Westhampnett community enrich the life of the school and help us offer memorable learning experiences that create lasting memories and inspire children to be aspirational in all they do.
At The March, our approach to learning is inclusive of every child and built on a curriculum that allows pupils to revisit concepts, ideas and skills as they progress through the school. This ensures deep understanding, secure foundations and confident learners who know how to build on what they have learned. Our curriculum is taught by a dedicated staff team of teachers and teaching assistants who work together to ensure every child receives high‑quality learning experiences. We are fortunate to have superb school grounds that enable us to maximise outdoor learning, including Forest School for our younger children. Our older pupils take pride in acting as mentors and ‘Buddies’, and they embrace leadership roles such as Ambassadors, House Captains and members of our Faith Council.
We believe that education is a partnership between home and school, and we are always happy to discuss any aspect of your child’s learning and development. This partnership is central to helping every child thrive, and we value the open, trusting relationships we build with families as children grow through the school. We hope you will want to come and visit us to find out more — please contact the school office to make an appointment for a tour.
Together, we strive to create a school where every child grows in character, confidence and curiosity — and where they are truly enabled to shine.
