March CE Primary School

This is a good school, which has some outstanding features. Pupils receive excellent levels of care and this is a major reason why their personal development, including behaviour, is exceptional. Pupils do well academically and excel in English, art and the humanities. The impressive curriculum gives them rich opportunities to develop their creative, practical and sporting skills from the earliest age. (Ofsted March 2008)

How We Organise the School Our School Day

The day begins promptly at 8.45am where children will be collected from the courtyard when the bell rings. The school gates are open before this time; however a member of staff is not formally on duty until 8.35am. The school day ends at 3.15pm and the children can be collected from the courtyard at the front of the school. A member of staff will be on the playground with the children until they are collected. There is a lunch break in the middle of the day and at 1.00pm we begin afternoon school. There are playtimes during the morning and afternoon sessions. The day is divided into four teaching sessions.
